This recliner has a catch release action, simply pull the catch to elevate tihe footrest and gently push and lean back to recline.
The Sven recliner only requires a few inches from the wall to fully recline and is ideal where space is a premium.

This chair arrives in a box with the back detached from the base.
Once the chair is in position, line up the two brackets on the back of the chair with the two on the base, then gently push down, and it will simply and easily lock into place.
